There has been a Watermill at Michelam Priory since at least 1434, it, like most watermill's is in a lovely setting. We were fortunate enough to arrive just in time to see milling taking place. I love the sound of Watermill's and have fantasised more than once about living in one.I know there is always the risk of flooding, but that amazing sound of the water and the wildlife it attracts (minus the mice) would more than make up for that.
It was 28 years ago when I first visited Michelham Priory in Upper Dicker East Sussex, it is a stunningly beautiful and peaceful place. When I visited it a few days ago if anything, I would say it has got even better with age.
