I’m all for five day weekends.

I love weekends, especially the ones where you have done everything during the week, all that is left to do is have a nice time for two days.
This weekend was one of those, we had my youngest son and his girlfriend visit, we saw nice things, ate nice things, enjoyed each others company, and we managed to fit in the all important relaxing doing nothing.
However I feel all that was lacking was three more days.

Who decided that we work five days and have two days off? Whoever it was got it the wrong way around.

Here are a few images from my weekend

Enjoy you’re weekends whatever you do, they are very precious.

And before I get told of again, a few of the above photographs are my husbands!

Happy February.

This animation was pointed out to me by my youngest son Tom, we both thought it was excellent. So seen as it is now february it seems appropriate to share it with you.

Snow in Devon

This is the last of the snow for now I think. My friends at Odle Farm in Devon had another dusting on tuesday evening, I have had the pleasure of being at Odle Farm in drifts up to my knees.

It is hard going on the leg muscles but very beautiful and eerie at the same time, especially up on the moors with no one about, a stillness not very often experienced in our busy world.

Thank you for sharing the pictures Karen. Not me, another Karen, an Odle Farm Karen.

More snow pictures from today

We decided to go for another walk locally today, couldn’t be bothered with the car. The snow has melted slightly but is still stunning.

The conservatory roof picture was taken last night by Mr B, we have twinkly lights in the roof of the conservatory which gave this affect from one of the upstairs windows, I love the affect and the colours.

You may notice changes to my blog over the next few days, please be patient as I get used to it all.

What do you think, has it improved?

More mason jars, and a blog recommendation.

Just a quick blog tonight as I am making sure my toboggan is all ready to go in the morning!
Snow at last, I’m so excited.

Do you remember the Mason Jar blog?
Do you remember me meeting a friend who lives just around the corner from me, on holiday, in America?

Well lets put those two things together and this is what you come up with.

My friend Terri has made her own mason jars today. via the how to blog,

Terri found the jar with writing on it in TK Max, it is filled with ice tea, lemon and orange slices.
Looks amazing Terri well done, hope you enjoy them and find them just as useful as I do.

Tonight I had a blog comment from one of my oldest son’s friends called Ben.
Ben has very kindly recommended a blog called ‘What Katie ate’ take a look, it has amazing photography and even more amazing food.
Thanks Ben.

Photograph from Katies blog.

Make yourself a mason jar, fill it with something wonderful to drink, cook yourself an amazing meal from Katie’s blog.
Take a walk in the snow with your camera in hand.
Perfect.
