The camera’s new home

My old camera has arrived at a very lovely place called Odle Farm near Honiton in Devon Erin who is 12 was taken along by her Mum on a  “Photography on 2 wheels” course, (book both for a nice relaxing week away). You know how it goes, you take your children along with you to keep you company on something you fancy having a go at, and they end up being far better at the task in hand than you! But that is how it’s supposed to go right? My sons definitely know and have done far more than I probably ever will, so I’ve done my job as a Mum.

It arrived in good hands! Now for a look at some of Erin’s photographs.

A girl after my own heart, moss and rust all included in photographs.

Graveyards, some amazing finds in these places, I have favourite angels in a few graveyards.

Always look up.

Sleeping pigs.

Lovely black and white photograph of the unusual, or what I call weird. Weird is good, I like weird.

Spooky! Well done Erin. Your secret photography skill is safe with me!

Unusual angles are always more interesting.

So there you have it the first of Erin’s photographs, which were all taken on a point and shoot digital, I’m sure you will agree they show huge potential.
I am now looking forward to featuring some of Erin’s new pictures on her new camera, very exciting.

Didn’t see her this morning until 10.30, she popped in to the kitchen and told grandma (I was taking breakfast orders in the conservatory) to tell me she was outside with her new little friend! She won’t take the tag off either, bless her.Caught her last night taking pictures of herself in the mirror when she should have been asleep! I’ll email you some of the photo’s she’s taken so far. She told me to say thank you very much for this blog. x

Looks Lovely, not sure we will be going anywhere quite so exciting but Erin is still looking forward to more experimenting.
We are thinking of getting together with Easybikes and doing a photography on wheels weekend, staying at Odle Farm and going off on the bikes from here for the tuition. I felt there was lots more we could have learnt and we could also go further on the bikes. Only at the idea stage at the moment but what do you think? Maybe in the autumn when the colours are changing?
Have a great day tomorrow, look forward to the photo’s.
