1. On my way home from Devon I followed this Dark Green Morris Minor open back, I so need it for my gardening round. Thought the number plate was pretty neat too!
2. A stop off at Honiton in Devon to see friends and have lunch culminated in us buying this old stool from a junk shop, it was covered in thick brown pealing paint ( I should have remembered to take a picture of the before!)
I thought it was just the right height to hold my cup of tea whilst sat on the sofa, usually my tea gets put on the floor, then the cat sits on my lap and my tea goes cold as I daren’t move!
Anyway, a quick sand down and a few Farrow and Ball tester pots dabbed on to it, then rubbed of with a rag soaked in some white spirit, followed by a quick seal of dark wax soon sorted it out. Here is the end result.
3. Who could resist this old wooden bowl painted in a beautiful shade of blue. It came from Yarrow antiques in Honiton, well worth a look round should you be passing, and be sure to go next door to the cafe called Toast for a bite to eat.
Three good memories of my week away, shame the car didn’t follow us home!
My dad had Morris Minors and I hated them as I was never big enough to see out of the window, so funny I should be hankering after this one. But hey I’m a big girl now and there are always cushions you can sit on!
