Canterbury Shaker Museum.

Today was once more like a summers day, so we set off for the Canterbury shaker Museum in Canterbury New Hampshire New England USA.
The houses and paint colours are amazing, and the whole place exudes calm and tranquility, sadly no shakers live there now and only four shakers exist in Maine.
We had a 90 minute guided tour of the inside of some of the houses, unfortunately no photography is allowed inside so I only have outside views for you.
They were extremely talented at woodwork and inventions of all kinds, including seed packets and the first ever washing machine. They also had an original Kitchen Aid mixer, nothing like the ones we have now but you could see certain similarities.
If we were fortunate enough to buy an original shaker made house now, not only would it be of the highest standard of craftsmanship and materials, but you would have an excellent amount of storage, space, and beautiful hardware in every room. I was truly envious.

On our way home I spotted the hugest wagon containing the hugest amount of pumpkins, thought you might like your pumpkin fix today so here you go.
